We are proud to partner in missions and ministry with the following organizations in our community and world.
BEAUTY FOR ASHES-OLIVIA WATKINS
Thank you for joining me in my work in Nepal! I’m so excited to share that I moved to Nepal at the end of the year to work with a non-profit called Beauty For Ashes International who sees halting poverty as a way to stop human trafficking. Beauty For Ashes works to change the lives of the women working for them through providing a Christ-centered and family-oriented work environment. I have had a desire to be in missions since I was young and I am thankful that the door has opened to not only pursue ending poverty in the name of Jesus but to also reach some of the least reached in Nepal.

Camp Sierra Linda
Kenton First United Methodist Church and the Northwest Plains District is partnering with the Oriental Conference of the Methodist Church of Mexico to support Camp Sierra Linda, about one hour south of Monterrey. This is the only church camp for children in Monterrey and serves over 2,500 children annually.
For six years, a team from NWP district has helped lead camp for 80-plus children each summer, while congregations across the district donated funds to provide camping scholarships to the children.
Our church, in addition to sending teams to help lead the camp, raises funds for scholarships for orphans and underprivileged children to attend the camp.

Imagine No Malaria
Unlike many other diseases that are awaiting a cure, malaria was eliminated in the U.S. in the 1950s. However, in Sub-Saharan Africa, malaria continues to kill a child every 2 minutes. But, there is hope! Imagine No Malaria is part of a global partnership and together with our partners; our generation can beat malaria once and for all. By improving the ways people fight the disease using bed nets, providing access to diagnostic tests and medicine, draining standing water, and improving sanitation we have already helped reduce malaria deaths by more than half. Imagine No Malaria combines integrated health infrastructure, education and advocacy to address death and the debilitating effects of malaria in sub-Saharan Africa. Find out more at
