About Us
Kenton First Methodist Church is a Global Methodist Church in downtown Kenton, Ohio.
When Do We Worship?
We worship every Sunday at 9 am (Contemporary Worship) and 11 am (Traditional Worship). We also host Sunday School Classes for children, youth, and adults between services at 10 am. Whenever there is a 5th Sunday, we will have a combined worship experience at 10 am. Both services feature the same sermon and scripture. The Contemporary Service features music from our praise band and a little more relaxed atmosphere. The Traditional Service features our choir, traditional hymns, and more liturgy. You are welcome to attend either or both services.
What Should I Expect in Worship?
Both services worship in our sanctuary. You will see people dressed casually in jeans; you will see people dressed more formally. Both services feature singing, reading scripture, a time for children, and a sermon.
Will My Children Be Welcome?
We love children! Children are welcome in all services. There is a children’s moment that features in both services. A nursery is available during the 9 am service for infants through kindergarten-aged children. We believe it is important that children learn worship, so we invite them to stay in the worship service and have activities geared towards them. We understand that children sometimes bring noise and chaos, but we embrace it, because we know they also learn about Jesus!
